                                            [0] => Introduction: Graph theory has different methods, which must be considered for the analysis and detection of communities.Objectives: To compare the hierarchical and modular methods to characterize the clusters of a health network.Methods: The theoretical foundation was established; subsequently, the reticular methodology was contextualized, the methods were applied and compared in a public health network in Chile, which consisted of 140 health centers and 864,755 specialty referrals, during the period 2010-2017.Results: It was demonstrated that link metrics allow obtaining relevant results, in order to offer policy recommendations to improve existing relationships.Conclusions: The utility of network decomposition is broad, especially because it facilitates the detection of clustering sequences, where it is possible to observe how different health centers in a health network coalesce into sub-groups, to the extent that they share binding characteristics that are attractive to the members of each sub-group.
                                            [1] => Introducción: La teoría de grafos posee diferentes métodos, que se deben considerar para el análisis y la detección de comunidades.Objetivos: Comparar el método jerárquico y el modular para caracterizar los clústeres de una red sanitaria.Métodos: Se realizó la fundamentación teórica; posteriormente, se contextualizó la metodología reticular, se aplicaron y compararon los métodos en una red pública de salud de Chile, la cual estuvo conformada por 140 centros de salud y 864 755 derivaciones de especialidad, durante el período 2010-2017.Resultados: Se pudo demostrar que las métricas de vínculos permiten obtener resultados relevantes, con el fin de ofrecer recomendaciones de políticas para mejorar las relaciones existentes.Conclusiones: La utilidad de descomponer la red es amplia, en especial, porque facilita la detección de secuencias de agrupamiento, donde es posible observar cómo los diferentes centros de salud de una red sanitaria se unen hacia subagrupaciones, en la medida en que comparten características vinculantes que son atractivas para los integrantes de cada subgrupo.
