                    [0] => O presente trabalho aborda a produção científica acerca da leitura infantil na Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI). Tem como objetivo geral verificar na referida base de dados especializada a existência de artigos científicos brasileiros alusivos à leitura infantil, assim como na competência informacional infantil. No que se refere a metodologia, a pesquisa classifica-se como exploratória, descritiva e quantitativa de caráter bibliométrico. Percebeu-se que a BRAPCI possui uma quantidade inexpressiva de artigos alusivos à leitura infantil. Concluiu-se que cabe aos profissionais e pesquisadores da área de ciência da Informação se interessar pela temática para aumentar as produções científicas que levem em consideração os benefícios que serão obtidos para o desenvolvimento do letramento literário e da competência informacional infantil.@pt
                    [1] => The present search approaches the scientific production about children´s reading in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI). Its general objective is to verify in the aforementioned specialized database the existence of Brazilian scientific articles alluding to children´s reading, as well as children´s informational competence. With regard to methodology, the research is classified as exploratory, descriptive and quantitative, with a bibliometric character. It was noticed that BRAPCI has an inexpressive amount of articles alluding to children´s reading. It was concluded that it is up to professionals and researchers in the field of Information Science to be interested in the subject to increase scientific productions that take into account the benefits that will be obtained for the development of literary literacy and children´s informational competence.@en
