                                            [0] => The discussion deals with the importance of institutional archival policies and the role that the diagnosis of the archival situation plays in the formulation and implementation of policies and record management instruments. The question that guided the research was the following: what can we incorporate or add to the diagnosis so that it can, together with other actors in the institution, become a key to making them more efficient, delivering a quality public service to society? This article aims to discuss the possibilities of transforming the diagnosis of the archival situation into a management and planning tool, to integrate efforts and have a vision not only of the past and present, but above all of the future. The methodology consisted of a literature review and direct observation to provide a conceptual model for diagnosing the archival situation. For an archival situation diagnosis model to be effective, it must be adaptable to the specific needs of each organization, as there is no single approach that works in all contexts. In this sense, the diagnosis must be sensitive to organizational issues, be they cultural, structural or technological.
                                            [1] => A discussão trata da importância das políticas arquivísticas institucionais e o papel que o diagnóstico da situação arquivística tem para a formulação e implementação de políticas, quanto dos instrumentos de gestão de documentos. A pergunta que guiou a pesquisa foi a seguinte: o que podemos incorporar ou agregar no diagnóstico para que ele consiga, juntamente com outros atores da instituição, se transformar em uma chave para torná-las mais eficientes, entregando à sociedade um serviço público de qualidade? O objetivo deste artigo é discutir as possibilidades de transformar o diagnóstico da situação arquivística em um instrumento gerencial e de planejamento, busca-se com isso integrar esforços e ter uma visão não só do passado e do presente, mas, sobretudo, do futuro. A metodologia consistiu em uma revisão de literatura e na observação direta para oferecer um modelo conceitual de diagnóstico da situação arquivística. Para que um modelo de diagnóstico da situação arquivística seja eficaz, ele deve ser adaptável às necessidades específicas de cada organização, pois não há uma abordagem única que funcione em todos os contextos. Nesse sentido, o diagnóstico deve ser sensível às questões organizacionais, sejam elas culturais, estruturais ou tecnológicas.
