                                            [0] => The present report could be inserted among those which try to get more siutable ways for composing education material. The main aim of this research is to create a reading material suitable for students at a public schoollocated in a suburb os São Paulo. It was writen a text wich contained pieces of information about History of Brazil, andillustrated with poictures. To verify the comprehension leveI, a test was done based on thenouns, key words and on the pictures. The results showed that the majority of words gotabout 50% to 75% of right answer, the picturs reached 75%. Those numbers can b considered satisfactory.
                                            [1] => Este trabalho se insere entre os que buscam adequação, o teste e a implementação de uma base científica para os materiais impressos. O objetivo geral da presente pesquisa foi produzir um material de leitura adequado a escolares de ambos os sexos, cursando a 2ª série do 1º grau de uma escola estadual, situada na periferia da cidade de São Paulo. Elaborou-se um texto e figuras contendo elementos de informação da História do Brasil. Procedeu-se ao levantamento de todos os substantivos dos textos, considerando vocábulos chaves para o entendimento das figuras contidas no material, a fim de se efetuar um teste junto a 68 alunos. Os resultados mostraram que os vocábulos alcançaram 50 a 75% de acerto, as figuras acima de 75% de acertos, indicando compreensão dos elementos básicos.
