                                            [0] => Relevant information has been collected in order to analyse the professional performance of EBDSC alumni. This information is relevant to a greater adequation of the course to the work job market needs. According to the data from EBDSC and Conselho Regional de Biblioteconomia -8 th. Region, and from questionnaires applied to School Alumni graduated from1960 to 1985 it has been found out that, in the majority, the professionals were womem, marriedand in fuI!maturity. They acted mainly in the citiesof São Carfosand São Paulo, in the state-government libraries,and their salaries were higher than ten minimum Salaries per month. They were mainly performing technical tasks.
                                            [1] => Com o objetivo de analisara atuação profissional dos egressos da Escola de Biblioteconomia e Documentação de São Carlos (EBDSC), levantaram-se informações relevantes para uma maior adequação do curso às necessidades do mercado de trabalho. Através de levantamento de dados na EBDSCe no Conselho Regional de Biblioteconomia -8f Região e da aplicação de questionários aos ex-alunos da Escola, formados entre 1960 e 1985, verificou-se que esses profissionais eram, em sua maioria, do sexo feminino, casados e em plena maturidade. Atuavam principalmente em São Paulo e em São Carlos, em Bibliotecas Universitárias do governo estadual, com vencimentos superiores a dez salários mínimos e desempenhando predominantemente tarefas técnicas.
