                    [0] => Federal Higher Education Institutions have to make the information present in their archives available in an organized, accessible and validated way to all interested parties, thus contributing to the development of new types of knowledge and preservation of the institution´s memory. This article reflects on the role of university archives in democracy, glimpses the importance of preservation and access to the records that are generated for the exercise of citizenship and memory. It presents that the Central Archive of the Federal University of Alagoas needs digital transformation initiatives, systemic digital preservation and active transparency that help safeguard documents and institutional memory and should contribute to the university to improve the performance of administrative and academic management with transparency, productivity, speed and user service.@en
                    [1] => As Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior têm que disponibilizar as informações presentes em seus arquivos de forma organizada, acessível e validada a todos os interessados, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento de novos tipos de conhecimento e preservação da memória da instituição. Este artigo reflete sobre o papel dos arquivos universitários na democracia, vislumbra sobre a importância da preservação e o acesso aos registros que são gerados para o exercício da cidadania e da memória. Conclui que o Arquivo Central da Universidade Federal de Alagoas precisa de iniciativas de transformação digital, preservação digital sistêmica e transparência ativa que auxiliem na salvaguarda dos documentos e na memória institucional e deve contribuir com a universidade para melhorar o desempenho da gestão administrativa e acadêmica com transparência, produtividade, rapidez e atendimento ao usuário.@pt
