                                            [0] => Abstract: This article deals with a documental and bibliographic analysis that presents data referring to social participation in the formulation of public policies in higher education. The study aims to analyze social participation in the formulation of public policies. The research was carried out with a qualitative approach, seeking to analyze the subject in question from documents and scientific articles already published. The spaces of participation of civil society in the public policies of the university were evaluated, what are these spaces and how this participation takes place. The results of this research show that there is an initiative to include civil society in the management planning and formulation of public policies, but it is still incipient, since there are few channels of participation, and in addition, the contributions made still pass through the appreciation of CONSUNI. The study has research limitations considering that there are few studies on the topic involving higher education and the information on the university's institutional website does not contain extensive information on how participation itself occurs. For future research, it is suggested that an in loco research be carried out, with people who are involved with the participation instances and with university managers in order to better understand how the whole process occurs and what are the current benefits and needs in order to contribute to expand such participation.

                                            [1] => Este artigo trata de uma análise documental e bibliográfica que apresenta dados referentes à participação social na formulação de políticas públicas na educação superior. O estudo objetiva analisar a participação social na fase de formulação de políticas públicas. A pesquisa se deu com abordagem qualitativa, buscando analisar o assunto em questão a partir de documentos e artigos científicos já publicados. Avaliou-se os espaços de participação da sociedade civil nas políticas públicas da universidade, quais são esses espaços e como se dá essa participação. Os resultados desta pesquisa mostram que há uma iniciativa de incluir a sociedade civil no planejamento da gestão e formulação de políticas públicas, mas ainda é incipiente, visto que são poucos canais de participação, e além disso as contribuições realizadas ainda passam pela apreciação do Conselho Universitário. O estudo apresenta limitações de pesquisa considerando que existem poucos estudos sobre o tema que envolve a educação superior e o site institucional da universidade não contém informações amplas sobre a forma que ocorre a participação em si. Para pesquisas futuras, sugere-se que seja feita uma pesquisa in loco, com pessoas que estejam envolvidas com as instâncias de participação e com gestores da universidade de modo a compreender melhor como ocorre todo o processo e quais os benefícios e as necessidades atuais de modo a contribuir para expansão de tal participação.
