                    [0] => The article describes the results of a research conducted to determine the e-books use by the higher education community in the United Kingdom, the study was conducted by CIBER, a research group within the School of Library, Archive and Information Studies / SLAIS at the University College London. Nowadays, the design of educational systems in the United Kingdom is based on building a learning society, because of this, it undertakes the learning society. It describes the research: background; objectives; methods and techniques; and results. At the end it includes some conclusions. For gathering the data it was applied a quantitative method and a quantitative technique: the Deep Log Analysis method, and a benchmark survey. A major conclusion is that university communities are demanding and using electronic books.@en

El estudio fue realizado por el grupo de investigación CIBER de la Escuela de Estudios sobre la Biblioteca, Archivo e Información (School of Library, Archive and Information Studies / SLAIS) del Colegio Universitario Londres (University College London). Actualmente, el diseño de los sistemas educativos en el Reino Unido se basa en la construcción de una sociedad del aprendizaje, de aquí que se aborde dicho entorno social. Se describe la investigación: antecedentes; objetivos; métodos y técnicas; y resultados. Al final se incluyen algunas conclusiones. Para recabar la información se siguieron un método y una técnica de corte
cuantitativo: el método Análisis Profundo de Logs (archivos de visitas, o registros de las transacciones en línea) y la técnica de encuesta. Una gran conclusión es que las comunidades universitarias demandan y usan libros electrónicos.@es
