                                            [0] => The concept of a file can be defined in several ways. Throughout history, the concept of the archive has changed according to the political and cultural changes that western societies have gone through. Therefore, archives are a mirror of the society that produces them and their interpretation also follows the changes that occur. In antiquity, it was considered a deposit of documents and papers of any kind relating to the actions of an individual or institution. However, there is no definitive conception of archive. The objective of this research is to highlight the concept and applicability of Knowledge Management employed in the Archive Sector. The methodology used was based on explanatory, bibliographical and documentary research, as archiving practices must be explained and compared with various theories. The survey also suggests practices for developing informational competence with the aim of promoting knowledge management. Many qualified and trained professionals in thecurrent scenario exist to administer computer systems and organize them. The professional archivist currently has the management of electronic documents as his greatest advance and challenge in his recognition in the market. 
                                            [1] => O conceito de um arquivo pode ser definido de várias maneiras. Ao longo da história, a conceituação do arquivo mudou de acordo com as mudanças políticas e culturais pelas quais as sociedades ocidentais passaram. Portanto, os arquivos são um espelho da sociedade que os produz e sua interpretação também acompanha as mudanças que ocorrem. Na antiguidade, considerava-se um depósito de documentos e papéis de qualquer espécie relativa a ações de um indivíduo ou instituição. Entretanto, não há concepção definitiva de arquivo. O objetivo desta pesquisa é evidenciar o conceito e aplicabilidade da Gestão do Conhecimento empregada ao Setor de Arquivo. A metodologia utilizada foi baseada em pesquisa explicativa, bibliográfica e documental, pois as práticas de arquivamento devem ser explicadas e comparadas com várias teorias. A pesquisa também sugere práticas de desenvolvimento da competência informacional com o objetivo de promover a gestão do conhecimento. Muitos profissionais qualificados e capacitados no cenário atual existem para administrar os sistemas informatizados e organizá-los. O profissional arquivista possui atualmente o gerenciamento dos documentos eletrônicos como seu maior avanço e desafio no seu reconhecimento no mercado.
