Defende-se que como qualquer conhecimento as Ciências estão necessariamente vinculadas a alguma epistemologia, metodologia e ideologia. Faz-se necessário conhecer as relações de poder e o seu embate dentro das Ciências, para saber como elas são produzidas, orientando e definindo até o pensamento dos seus próprios profissionais e cientistas.
