                                            [0] => This article examines the transformation of social capital in the context of the digital era, highlighting the significant role of the Internet in this process. Three main areas of impact are identified: the increase in online community participation, enabling people to overcome geographic and temporal barriers to engage in civic and cultural activities; the strengthening of personal social networks through digital platforms, crucial during periods of physical isolation; and the diversification of social capital, facilitating the inclusion of marginalized groups and access to a wider range of support networks. This study highlights how the Internet has served not only as a tool to maintain and expand interpersonal relationships, but also as a means to promote equity, social inclusion and collective mobilization. However, it emphasizes the need to address challenges such as the digital divide and online privacy concerns in order to maximize the positive potential of the Internet. It is concluded that the Internet represents an invaluable resource for building a more robust and diversified social capital in the 21st century.
                                            [1] => Este artículo examina la transformación del capital social en el contexto de la era digital, destacando el papel significativo del Internet en este proceso. Se identifican tres áreas principales de impacto: el incremento en la participación comunitaria en línea, que permite a las personas superar barreras geográficas y temporales para involucrarse en actividades cívicas y culturales; el fortalecimiento de las redes sociales personales a través de plataformas digitales, crucial durante períodos de aislamiento físico; y la diversificación del capital social, facilitando la inclusión de grupos marginados y el acceso a una gama más amplia de redes de apoyo. Este estudio resalta cómo el Internet ha servido no solo como una herramienta para mantener y ampliar las relaciones interpersonales, sino también como un medio para promover la equidad, la inclusión social y la movilización colectiva. Sin embargo, se enfatiza la necesidad de abordar desafíos como la brecha digital y las preocupaciones sobre la privacidad en línea para maximizar el potencial positivo del Internet. Se concluye que el Internet representa un recurso invaluable para la construcción de un capital social más robusto y diversificado en el siglo XXI.
