                                            [0] => In the Information Society, governed by technological advances that allow for greater speed in receiving, processing and storing data, information literacy has become a fundamental element in organizations. In view of the incompetence in handling this data, it was necessary to create Law 13.709/2018 General Data Protection Law – LGPD, in order to guarantee and demand that institutions start to protect the data and information of third parties that are under your guardianship. The objective of this research is to understand and demonstrate the relevance of information literacy in the insertion of the LGPD in the organizational context, using a descriptive approach. The methodological procedure used was the bibliographical and documental review in a qualitative approach. It is understood that, in the face of contemporary challenges, organizations need to adhere to information literacy to expand their knowledge, learning and production capacity, aiming at quality information management and effective participation in the information society.
                                            [1] => Na Sociedade da Informação, regida por avanços tecnológicos que permitem maior celeridade no recebimento, processamento e armazenamento de dados, a competência em informação passou a ser um elemento fundamental nas organizações. Diante da incompetência no manuseio desses dados viu-se a necessidade da criação da Lei 13.709/2018 Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados –LGPD, com o intuito de garantir e exigir que as instituições passem a proteger os dados e informações de terceiros que estejam sob sua tutela. O objetivo dessa pesquisa é compreender e demonstrar a relevância da competência em informação na inserção da LGPD no seio organizacional sob uma abordagem descritiva. O procedimento metodológico utilizado foi a revisão bibliográfica e documental em uma abordagem qualitativa, pois entende-se que, diante dos desafios contemporâneos as organizações precisam aderir a competência em informação para ampliar sua capacidade de conhecimento, aprendizagem e produção visando uma gestão da informação de qualidade e participação efetiva na sociedade informacional.
