                                            [0] => This paper presents a study regarding the importance of Archives Public Policy for municipalities. The article aims contextualize the importance of archival documents and information to municipalities, presenting aspects relevant to the preservation of the Documentary  Patrimony, the importance of document management and information, and some important points for the formation Archives Public Policy, as well as some consequences of the Law on Access to Information in the municipalities. Regarding the methodology used for the realization of this work, we made an exploratory-descriptive research, divided in two applications. First, a Survey, with open and closed questions, and second one with only questions opened. Thus, it is believed that this study was able to identify some factors that impact on the development of policies and archival practices, which makes this article relevant. The results contribute significantly to the area, appearing as support for the formulation Archives Public Policy of the municipalities.
                                            [1] => O presente artigo apresenta um estudo referente à importância das políticas públicas de arquivo para os municípios. Busca-se, inicialmente, contextualizar a importância dos documentos e informações arquivísticas para os municípios, apresentando os aspectos relevantes para a preservação do patrimônio documental, a importância da gestão de documentos e informações e alguns pontos importantes para a formação de políticas públicas de arquivo, bem como alguns desdobramentos da Lei de Acesso à Informação nos municípios. No que tange a metodologia adotada para a efetivação do presente trabalho, optou-se por uma pesquisa exploratório-descritiva, dividida em dois momentos, com a aplicação de dois questionários, um do tipo survey, com questões abertas e fechadas e outro somente com questões abertas. Desse modo, acredita-se que o presente estudo conseguiu identificar alguns fatores que impactam no desenvolvimento das políticas e das práticas arquivísticas, o que torna o presente artigo relevante, visto que os resultados apresentados contribuem significativamente para a área, surgindo como subsídio para a formulação de políticas públicas de arquivos nos municípios.
