                    [0] => The theoretical framework of this study is based on the work of Kevin McGarry, Pierry Lévy, and Paulo Freire. The study aims to analyze the contribution of information mediation in the virtual space (cyberspace) in contemporary society. To achieve this goal, the study uses an exploratory study and a literature review in the field of Information Science, Education, and (Cyber) Cultural Policy. As a result, the study identifies theories such as those produced by Oswaldo Almeida Júnior and Teixeira Coelho Netto, which help to understand that mediation should reach subjects of different cultures, whether or not they are served in information and knowledge production environments. The concept of information mediation is strengthened through intervention in community-based, school, library, and university spaces, which helps librarians and other professionals who are willing to develop cultural, political, educational, and transformative actions. This type of information and cultural action, which is also requested in cyberspace, requires an understanding that there is a process of reflective conceptualization and constant constitution around the practice of mediation.@en
                    [1] => Eleito como marco teórico o que fora produzido por Kevin McGarry, Pierry Lévy e Paulo Freire, objetiva-se colocar em análise a contribuição da mediação informativa no espaço virtual (ciberespaço) na sociedade contemporânea. Para alcançar tal intento, recorre-se a um estudo exploratório e a uma pesquisa bibliográfica desenvolvida no âmbito da Ciência da Informação, Educação e Política (Ciber) Cultural. Como resultado são identificadas teorias como as que foram produzidas por Oswaldo Almeida Júnior e Teixeira Coelho Netto, auxiliando no entendimento de que a mediação deve alcançar sujeitos de diferentes culturas atendidos ou não em ambientes de informação e produção de conhecimento. O conceito de mediação da informação se fortalece perante a intervenção em espaços presenciais comunitários, escolas, bibliotecas e universidades auxiliando bibliotecários e outros profissionais dispostos a desenvolverem ações culturais, políticas, educativas e transformadoras. Esse tipo de atuação informativa e cultural solicitada também no ciberespaço, acaba requerendo o entendimento de que há em torno da prática de mediação um processo de conceituação reflexivo e em constante constituição.@pt
