Advantage of this principle, This article seeks to reflect on the importance of document management for the information service and for the attendance in hospitals. The methodological work aimed to link up with a quantitative-qualitative approach, on a exploratory and descriptive mode. We take as empirical space Hospital Paraibano (HP), where a questionnaire was applied as an instrument of data collection, built on a mixed perspective. By analyzing the data, we perceive that the information services of the hospital has done so unsatisfactory, hampering the care of users/patients. Conclude that the implementation of a document management in hospital is necessary, for it will optimize the flow of information and improvement of medical care provided to the population.@en
                    [1] => A gestão documental dinamiza as atividades de produção, tramitação, classificação, avaliação e arquivamento dos documentos, otimizando tanto o fluxo informacional, quanto toda a rotina administrativa de uma instituição. Partindo desse princípio, esse artigo busca refletir sobre a importância da gestão de documentos aos serviços de informação e ao atendimento nas instituições hospitalares. Em termos metodológicos, o trabalho buscou articular-se com uma abordagem qualitativa, do tipo o exploratório descritivo. Tomamos como espaço empírico o Hospital Paraibano (HP), no qual aplicamos questionário, como instrumento de coleta de dados, construído na perspectiva mista. Mediante a análise dos dados, percebemos que os serviços de informação do referido hospital tem se realizado de maneira pouco satisfatória, dificultando o atendimento aos usuários/pacientes. Concluímos que a implantação de uma gestão documental na instituição hospitalar se faz necessário, pois concorrerá para a otimização do fluxo de informações e o aperfeiçoamento da assistência médica prestada à população.@pt
