                    [0] => This paper discusses the potential role of school libraries as health promoters in their communities. It is assumed that health and education are fundamental rights and that libraries are democratic spaces for the dissemination of information and knowledge, as well as environments that seek to promote citizenship. It presents the evolution of the concept of health, the emergence of health promotion and the history of the link between health and education in Brazil. It reflects on the social role of the library, the potential of the school library to promote health and quality of life.@en
                    [1] => O trabalho discute o potencial de atuação das bibliotecas escolares como promotoras de saúde em suas comunidades. Parte-se do princípio de que saúde e educação são direitos fundamentais e as bibliotecas espaços democráticos de disseminação da informação e conhecimento além de ambientes que buscam promover a cidadania. Apresenta-se a evolução do conceito de saúde, o surgimento da promoção de saúde e o histórico da ligação entre saúde e educação no Brasil. Reflete-se sobre o papel social da biblioteca, o potencial de atuação da biblioteca escolar na promoção de saúde e qualidade de vida.@pt
