                                            [0] => From its origins the National Newspaper Archive of Mexico promoted several benefits on diffusion and conservation of the newspaper heritage it guards. Nevertheless, historical journals represent one of the biggest challenges faced on documental conservation. Other institutions have launch initiatives focus on applying massive systems for preservation and diffusion of intellectual content, setting all technological trends that served as guidelines of a unique conservation, diffusion and document query of the Digital National Newspaper archive of Mexico. Nowadays this project reach edits primal goal: going online. And now faces its next big challenge “digital preservation”.
                                            [1] => Desde sus orígenes, la Hemeroteca Nacional de México ha impulsado diversas acciones en beneficio de la difusión y conservación del patrimonio hemerográfico que custodia. Sin embargo, las publicaciones periódicas históricas representan uno de los mayores retos en materia de conservación documental. En este sentido, distintas instituciones del mundo han emprendido iniciativas enfocadas en la aplicación de sistemas masivos para la preservación y difusión de los contenidos intelectuales, marcando de esta manera las tendencias tecnológicas que guiaron el desarrollo de un singular proyecto de conservación, difusión y consulta: la Hemeroteca Nacional Digital de México. Actualmente, el proyecto ha alcanzado su principal objetivo: la puesta en línea en Internet, y enfrenta el siguiente gran reto, tendencia tecnológica del momento: “la preservación digital”.
