                                            [0] =>  Polotitlán is located in Estado de Mexico. It owes its name to the memory of three insurgent brothers bearing the same surname. They fought and offered their life to achieve independence: Coronel José Rafael, José Trinidad and Manuel Polo. San Nicolás de los Cerritos —today Polotitlán— was their hometown. They distinguished themselves by their brave actions, side by side with other major insurgent figures. These brothers, especially José Rafael Polo, gave an example of daring and bravery, by spreading throughout the main zone of New Spain, the longing for a new revolutionary conscience. 
                                            [1] =>  Polotitlán, en el Estado de México, debe su nombre a la memoria de tres hermanos insurgentes con este apellido, que lucharon y ofrendaron su vida por lograr nuestra independencia: el coronel José Rafael, José Trinidad y Manuel Polo, originarios todos de San Nicolás de los Cerritos, hoy municipio de Polotitlán, y quienes se distinguieron por sus valerosas acciones al lado de otros connotados insurgentes. Los tres —especialmente el coronel José Rafael Polo— dieron muestra de arrojo y valentía, difundiendo con heroísmo por toda la zona central de la Nueva España el anhelo de una conciencia revolucionaria.
