It is carried out the proposa/ of functional tools forthe documental treatment, in the Educational Secretarymanagement archive of the Humanistic Faculty in the HigherInstitute ofMining and Metallurgy in Moa. For the developmentofthese tools thephases in the archivistic treatment are applied:identification and valuation. An analysis ofthe main theoreticalconceptual aspects is made relating to the documentalmanagement. The research techniques used allow knowing thecurrent state of the documental management in the studyobjectarea. It is designed the classification chart starting fromthe structure andfunctions ofthe área, besides being the transferterm charts, which will allow a better organization, conservationand management ofthe documentation. 
                                            [1] => En los últimos años, y tras el creciente valor que ha venidoganando el terreno de la información, las instituciones modernashan empezado a orientar sus estructuras hacia una posturamás coherente en la organización de su patrimonio documentalmediante una conservación sistemática eficiente desde losarchivos de gestión, los cuales constituyen la etapa inicial oactiva del ciclo de vida de los documentos. En este trabajo seproveen herramientas funcionales para el tratamientodocumental en el archivo de gestión de la Secretaría Docentede la Facultad de Humanidades del Instituto Superior MineroMetalúrgico de Moa (ISMMM). Se efectúa un análisis de losprincipa/es aspectos teóricos-conceptuales referentes a lagestión documental. Las técnicas de investigación utilizadaspermiten conocer el estado actual de la gestión documental enel área objeto de estudio. Al aplicar las fases del tratamientoarchivístico (identificación y valoración), se diseña el cuadro declasificación a partir de la estructura y funciones del área, y latabla de plazos de transferencias, los cuales permitirán unamejor organización, conservación y gestión déla documentaciónen dicha área y por consiguiente, una optimización de losprocesos que se ejercen en la Facultad
