                                            [0] => The aging of the population constitutes an irreversible process and indicative of social progress. In Latin America, Cuba has the highest rate of population aging. The work focuses on analyzing the accelerated aging of the Cuban population from an informational perspective and how to contribute, from the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives of the United Nations Organization for 2030, so that this age group does not feel excluded from aa process as important as the computerization of society, a fast-moving process in which the family and organizations are responsible for educating them on it. A descriptive-retrospective study was carried out with the intention of specifying the properties, characteristics and dimensions of population aging in Cuba. The historical-logical method was used to analyze different criteria and delve into the evolution and generalizations of library services. A set of services are proposed for public libraries based on the fact that their social function is to serve the community where they are located; These benefits will contribute to the social welfare and the improvement of the quality of life of our grandparents.
                                            [1] => El envejecimiento de la población constituye un proceso irreversible e indicativo de avance social. En América Latina, Cuba tiene el mayor índice de envejecimiento poblacional. El trabajo se centra en analizar el envejecimiento acelerado de la población cubana desde la perspectiva informacional y como contribuir, desde el cumplimiento de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible de la Organización de Naciones Unidas para el 2030 a que este grupo etario no se sienta excluido de un proceso tan importante como la informatización de la sociedad, proceso de rápido movimiento en el que la familia y las organizaciones son responsables de educarlos en ello. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo- retrospectivo con la intención de especificar las propiedades, las características y las dimensiones del envejecimiento poblacional en Cuba. Se empleó el método histórico-lógico para analizardiferentes criterios y profundizar en la evolución y generalizaciones de los servicios bibliotecarios. Se proponen un conjunto de servicios para las bibliotecas públicas a partir de que su función social es la atención a la comunidad donde se encuentra ubicada; estas prestacionescontribuirán al bienestar social y al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores.
