                                            [0] => The elements and parameters to be considered by reference specialists during the assessment of digital or printed information sources are analyzed in this work. Special emphasis is made on the evaluation and selection of electronic resources in order to have an unbiased and objective appreciation of the informational resource in question. Values and ethical principles to be featured by reference personnel are analyzed, as well as the necessary competences to work successfully in the users’ service whether virtually or alive and the way he/she applies the ethical principles in making decisions and taking actions. Important mention is done in favor of the referencist’s role in social networks as motivator and promoter of scientific activity, as well as a driving force of ethical behavior and values by users during theirinteraction in such social networks.
                                            [1] => En este trabajo se analizan los elementos y parámetros a tener en cuenta por parte de los especialistas en referencia, durante el proceso de evaluación de fuentes de información, ya sean digitales o impresas. Se hace especial hincapié en la valoración y selección de los recursos electrónicos, de modo que se realice una apreciación imparcial y objetiva del recurso informativo en cuestión. Se examinan los valores y principios éticos que debe poseer el personal de referencia, así como las competencias necesarias para desenvolverse exitosamente en el servicio de atención al usuario en modalidad presencial o en el entorno virtual, y el modo en que aplica los principios éticos en la toma de decisiones y acciones. Se hace mención del importante rol del referencista en el escenario de las redes sociales como motivador y promotor de la actividad científica, así como propulsor de conductas y valores éticos en los usuarios, durante su interacción en tales redes sociales.
