                    [0] => The construction of the Information Society as a challenge to nations for their insertion in the 21st Century is analyzed. This new society affects the new political, economical, social and cultural world order and has its foundation in the new technical and economical paradigm with microelectronics and telecommunications in its basement, having as the principal transmission media, the infoways of communication, commanded by Internet. Independently of the infrastructure guarantee for infoway navigation, countries and institutions must worry of informative contents, which flow through these channels. The experience of IBICT is exposed as an institution in charge of the development and diffusion of scientific and technological information in the country and its competitive insertion in the information society is presented.@en
                    [1] => Se analiza la construcción de la Sociedad de la Información como un desafío a las naciones para su inserción en el siglo XXI. Se plantea que esta nueva sociedad que afecta al nuevo orden político, económico, social y cultural del mundo se fundamenta en el nuevo paradigma técnico-económico que tiene como base la microelectrónica y las telecomunicaciones y cuyo principal medio de transmisión son las infovías de comunicación, capitaneadas por internet. Se plantea también que, además de los aspectos de garantía de infraestructura para navegar en estas infovías, los países, igual que sus instituciones, deben también preocuparse de los aspectos de los contenidos informacionales que transmiten a través de esos canales. Se expone el caso del IBICT como una de esas instituciones que difunde y se preocupa por el desarrollo de la información científica y tecnológica en el país, y se presenta su inserción de forma competitiva en la sociedad de la información.@es
