                    [0] => The scientific activity is mainly reflected through journals, since this is the way that scientists use to communicate the results of their research. The desire to quantify and evaluate the scientific productivity of different areas of knowledge leads to bibliometric studies, which are very useful to understand the evolution of scientific research. This paper presents the results of a study on the scientific productivity of Mexico on psychology according to the Social Sciences Citation Index of ISI Web of Knowledge, between 1995 and 2008. The goal is to present the productivity of authors and institutions in this field. The reason for selecting this database for this study is based on the international prestige that Thomson Reuters has, due to the rigor with which it selects and maintains the journal titles included in their indexes.@en
                    [1] => La actividad científica se refleja principalmente en las publicaciones periódicas, ya que este es el medio que los científicos utilizan para comunicar los resultados de sus investigaciones. El afán de contabilizar y evaluar la productividad científica de diversas áreas del conocimiento nos lleva a realizar estudios bibliométricos, los cuales son de gran utilidad para conocer la evolución de la investigación científica. El presente trabajo muestra los resultados de un estudio sobre la productividad científica de México en el tema de Psicología de acuerdo con el Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) de ISI Web of Knowledge, entre 1995 y 2008. El objetivo es dar conocer la productividad de los autores y las instituciones en esta temática. Se eligió esta base para realizar este estudio en virtud del prestigio que en el medio de la información tiene la empresa Thomson Scientific, debido al rigor con que selecciona y mantiene los títulos de revistas que incluye en sus índices.@es
