First, the context of the archive and its objectives, infrastructure, collections, treatment, access and dissemination are described, and a proposal for better preservation is offered. Second, the collection of photographs of the San Javier International Jazz Festival, which the council has been organising since 1998, is analyzed. A cataloguing system is proposed to match the needs of the users and researchers with the available resources as much as possible

Primeramente se contextualiza el archivo y se describen los objetivos, infraestructura, fondos, tratamiento archivístico, acceso y difusión del mismo, y se realiza una propuesta para su mejor conservación. A continuación se analiza la colección fotográfica referente al festival internacional de jazz de San Javier, organizado por dicho Ayuntamiento desde 1998. Se propone para la descripción de estos fondos un sistema adecuado a las necesidades reales de los usuarios e investigadores y a los recursos disponibles.(a)
