Inicia com alguns eventos na Antigüidade, no final da Idade Média/início da Idade Moderna e no século XIX. A seguir apresenta um panorama das bibliotecas tradicionais nos dias atuais e faz um contraponto com as bibliotecas digitais. Encerra com uma menção ao movimento internacional para os arquivos abertos e o acesso aberto à informação, trazendo alguns exemplos de benefícios.@pt
