                                            [0] => Introdução: A biblioteca digital surgiu na esteira do movimento dos arquivos abertos para disseminar a literatura cinzenta, ou àquela que não passava por processo tradicional de publicação. Com isso, órgãos de governo brasileiros passaram a criar as suas bibliotecas digitais para disseminar a memória técnica e outras documentações. Entretanto, a implementação de bibliotecas digitais não é tarefa simples, pois requer apoio para criar uma estrutura de organização e representação. Assim, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar a cadeia de valor como ferramenta de apoio para a organização de biblioteca digital de governo. Método: Para alcançar os objetivos, o estudo utiliza pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, tendo como fonte principal o Google Acadêmico. Resultados: Os estudos verificaram que a cadeia de valor é uma ferramenta útil para vários fins, incluindo o mapeamento da tipologia documental de um órgão de governo, o que possibilita análises que apoiem sua organização e representação, facilitando a implementação de bibliotecas digitais. Conclusão: Mesmo para profissionais da informação que atuam em órgãos de governo, ter a visão global da memória técnica nem sempre é simples e requer estudos com métodos e técnicas que a cadeia de valores pode suprir.
                                            [1] => Introduction: The digital library emerged in the wake of the movement of open archives to disseminate gray literature, or literature that did not go through the traditional process of publication. As a result, Brazilian government agencies started to create their digital libraries to disseminate their technical memory and other documentation. However, the implementation of digital libraries is not a simple task, requiring support to create an organization and representation structure, among other points. Thus, the present work aims to present the value chain as a support tool for the organization of a government digital library. Method: To achieve the objectives, the study uses documental research having as main source the academic google. Results: The studies found that the value chain is a useful tool for several purposes, including mapping the document typology of a government agency, enabling analyzes that support its organization and representation, and facilitating the implementation of digital libraries. Conclusion: Even for information professionals who work in government agencies, having a global view of technical memory is not always simple and requires studies with methods and techniques that the value chain can supply.
