                    [0] => This paper presents the main characteristics of the reference service and its possibilities in Second Life with intention of developing a proposal of reference service in this virtual world. Through this proposal, it will be possible to make available personalized and differentiated services, through the librarian-avatar, chatterbot and access links to the websites, and the improvement and innovation on the offered virtual reference services. The proposal will be presented with base in literatures of virtual reference service, and also starting from empiric research, in other words, practices of Second Life use. This paper intends to propitiate reflections to the professionals of the information, on the reference services and/or products that can be proportionate in the virtual units of information in 3D, publishing and cultivating these activities in Second Life and making possible different discursive communities to use this virtual world as an agile instrument of diffusion and sharing of information and knowledge.

                    [1] => Apresenta as principais características do serviço de referência e suas possibilidades no Second Life com intuito de desenvolver uma proposta de serviço de referência nesse ambiente. Por meio dessa proposta, será possível a disponibilização de serviços personalizados e diferenciados, com intermédio do avatar-bibliotecário, chatterbot e links de acesso aos websites e o aprimoramento e inovação dos serviços de referência virtuais oferecidos. A proposta será apresentada com base em literaturas de serviço de referência virtual, e também a partir de pesquisa empírica, ou seja, práticas de uso do ambiente Second Life. Este trabalho pretende propiciar reflexões aos profissionais da informação, sobre os serviços e/ou produtos de referência que podem ser proporcionados nas unidades de informação virtuais em 3D, divulgando e cultivando estas atividades no Second Life e possibilitando a diferentes comunidades discursivas utilizar esse ambiente como um instrumento ágil de difusão e compartilhamento da informação e conhecimento.
