Its used a non-participatory observation with the aid of a checklist. There is a lack of a management policy document that proposes some guidelines for a more appropriate and functional. Its conclude that a file is organized into a source of information for strategic decision-making sure that they can define the future of a company.

Investigou-se a sua estrutura física, a organização documental, a tipologia dos documentos e a função. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, bibliográfica e documental. Utilizou-se a observação não participativa com o auxilio de um check list. Verificou-se a ausência de uma Política de Gestão documental em que se propõe algumas diretrizes para uma organização mais adequada e funcional. Conclui-se que um arquivo organizado constitui-se em uma fonte de informação estratégica para a tomada de decisão segura que podem definir o futuro de uma empresa.
