                    [0] => This study discusses the issue of social and economic development, the advances in information technology and communication, and the needs for new skills that make the librarian an increasingly competitive professional in the labor market. The study includes, among other things, the informational trends that led organizations to invest and seek for information and knowledge on several fronts, including the Information and Knowledge Management. With the goal of adding value to the activities performed by librarians, information becomes the main asset for the qualification and creation of new skills. Aiming at the good performance of libraries, this study aims to verify the administrative theories combined with the role of the librarian acting in the information and knowledge management, where information is regarded as essential to the proper functioning of any organization. Thus, it is necessary the formation of a librarian professional competent, responsible and committed to the quality of their services. However, the librarian manager tends to perform virtually all base activities of the information and knowledge management mentioned in the theoretical framework in question, they also tend to build a creative and dynamic entrepreneurial profile, aiming at a permanent learning in their area.@en
                    [1] => Aborda a questão do desenvolvimento social e econômico, os avanços das tecnologias da informação e comunicação e as necessidades de novas competências que tornem o bibliotecário um profissional cada vez mais competitivo no mercado de trabalho. Contempla entre outros aspectos as tendências informacionais que levaram as organizações a investir e buscar por informação e conhecimento em diversas frentes, entre elas a Gestão da Informação e do Conhecimento. Com o objetivo de agregar valor às atividades realizadas pelo bibliotecário, a informação torna-se o principal ativo para a qualificação e criação de novas competências. Visando o bom desempenho das bibliotecas, este estudo objetiva verificar as teorias administrativas aliadas ao papel do bibliotecário atuante na gestão da informação e do conhecimento, onde a informação é tida como fator essencial ao bom funcionamento de qualquer organização. Assim, faz-se necessário a formação de um profissional competente, responsável e comprometido com a qualidade de seus serviços. Contudo o bibliotecário gestor tende a realizar praticamente todas as atividades bases da gestão da informação e do conhecimento citadas no referencial teórico em questão, e ainda construir um perfil empreendedor, criativo e dinâmico, buscando o aprendizado permanente em sua área de atuação.@pt
