                    [0] => This paper analyzes the size, visibility, brightness, the average density of links and web impact factor of the federal public universities in the North and Midwest in order to investigate the presence of these institutions in the network. It shows that, with technological advances, webometrics has become a product for innovation, bringing possibilities to study the interconnections in the virtual space, thus enabling the expansion of the existing correlations in this environment. The methodology for the development of the research was a literature review about webometrics and a case study of the websites of the federal public universities in the North and Midwest. The results show a very low number of interconnections in the two regions, according to the indicators of visibility and brightness.  The study demonstrates that there is room for a greater connectivity between such institutions in order to increase communication between them on the web.@en
                    [1] => Analisa o tamanho, a visibilidade, a luminosidade, a densidade média dos links e o fator de impacto web das universidades públicas federais das regiões Norte e Centro-Oeste com o objetivo de investigar a presença destas instituições na rede. Evidencia que com os avanços tecnológicos a webometria tornou-se produto para inovação trazendo possibilidades para o estudo das interconexões no espaço virtual permitindo, assim, a ampliação das correlações existentes neste ambiente. A metodologia empregada para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa foi a revisão de literatura acerca da webometria e o estudo de caso dos sítios das universidades públicas federais das regiões Norte e Centro-Oeste. Os resultados mostram um número muito baixo de interligações nas duas regiões analisadas, de acordo com os indicadores visibilidade e luminosidade. O estudo demonstra que há espaço para uma maior conectividade entre tais instituições, de modo a aumentar a comunicação entre elas na web.@pt
