                    [0] => Information Retrieval Systems (IRS) have difficulties in retrieving relevant information that meet the informational needs of their users. In this context, the thesaurus can serve as a tool that will assist in the organization, representation and retrieval of information.
This article aims to present the development process and the main results observed in the planning and development stages of a thesaurus through a Case Study. The methodology consists of a literature review, choice of the graduate program in Urban Development, a study on the architectural concepts from the field of urbanism, in addition to a survey of the keywords found in the theses and dissertations of BDTD-UFPE that were observed. The results indicate that the construction of a thesaurus does not end in its preparation, there must be a constant monitoring from a professional responsible for incorporating new terms.@en
                    [1] => Os Sistemas de Recuperação de Informação (SRI) enfrentam dificuldades em recuperar informações relevantes que atendam a necessidade informacional de seus usuários. Sob esse contexto, o Tesauro pode servir como instrumento que venha a auxiliar na organização, representação e recuperação da informação. Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o processo de desenvolvimento e os principais resultados observados nas etapas de planejamento e elaboração de um tesauro através de um Estudo de Caso. A metodologia aplicada consta de revisão de literatura, escolha do programa de pós-graduação em Desenvolvimento Urbano, estudo sobre conceitos arquitetônicos da área de urbanismo, além de levantamento das palavras-chave encontradas nas teses e dissertações da BDTD-UFPE que foram observados. Os resultados observados indicam que a construção de um tesauro não finda em sua elaboração, é preciso que tenha um acompanhamento constante de um profissional responsável por incorporar novos termos.@pt
