Identifies and analyzes the SRV concluding that it is a reality in major university libraries of Natal.
                                            [1] => Analisa o Serviço de Referência Virtual nas principais Bibliotecas Universitárias de Natal, RN. Conceitua a Biblioteca Universitária e descreve o Serviço de Referência tradicional. Enfoca o surgimento do Serviço de Referência Virtual (SRV) que se deu com advento das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs) ao proporcionar mudanças nos serviços e produtos oferecidos pelas bibliotecas. Apresenta o principal objetivo do Serviço de Referência Virtual. Através do correio eletrônico, permite interatividade e dinamicidade virtual. A metodologia da pesquisa apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando como instrumento de coleta de dados o questionário e a observação. Identifica e analisa o SRV e conclui que este é uma realidade nas principais bibliotecas universitárias de Natal.
