School Seráfico da Nóbrega made by the students from 5th grade. The research field took the Library, video room, and informatics room, they are considerate the units of information at school. The research methodology included a questionnaire and the analyze of the data were made upon an approach quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that the most of users are from feminine sex, browed-haired , between ages 12 until 13. The library is the information unit more used it is where the students developed school activities and pleasant readings. Technical barriers , of language, psychological , of time and interpersonal that are interposed about the use of units. The sources of information well used are the literature books. Thus We conclude that the work in partnership with all the school technical staff can contribute and grown the use of the units of information.
                                            [1] => Os estudos de uso podem revelar o atendimento a demandas, desejos e necessidades informacionais de usuários. Trata-se do relato de uma pesquisa que objetivou analisar o uso das unidades de informação da Escola Municipal Seráfico da Nóbrega, pelos alunos da 5ª série do Ensino Fundamental. O campo de pesquisa abrangeu a biblioteca, a sala de vídeo e a sala de informática, consideradas as unidades de informação da escola. A metodologia da pesquisa incluiu um questionário, e a análise dos dados realizou-se numa abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Os resultados apontaram maioria de usuários do sexo feminino, cor parda e faixa etária de 12 a 13 anos. A biblioteca é a unidade de informação mais usada onde os usuários desenvolvem atividades escolares e leitura recreativa. Barreiras técnicas, de linguagem, psicológicas, de tempo e interpessoais se interpõem ao uso das unidades. As fontes de informação mais usadas são os livros de literatura. Concluiu-se que o trabalho parceiro, envolvendo toda a equipe técnica da escola, pode contribuir para ampliar o uso das unidades de informação.
