                    [0] => This paper presents a study of the information practices of pregnant inmates of the Reference Center for the Private Pregnant Woman of the city of Vespasiano - Metropolitan Region of Minas Gerais, in which the goal is to understand the information practices of the prisoners, in particular their strategies to search, access, appropriate, and share information. The research presents exploratory character and qualitative nature. Data collection techniques include participatory observation and semi-structured interviews. To analyze the data, categories were created through the coding technique using a mixed model (with a priori categories derived from theoretical models and a posteriori categories inferred from the data collected in the inmates’ reports, through induction and content analysis). The results indicate that the prisoners are concerned with obtaining information about their sentences and about their children’s health, as well as seeking news of their companions, who are often also imprisoned. Regarding reading, many of them reported that they would like to have access to readings that refer to the prison universe, especially issues of law.@en
                    [1] => O artigo apresenta um estudo das práticas informacionais de presas grávidas do Centro de Referência à Gestante Privada de Liberdade da cidade de Vespasiano – Região Metropolitana de Minas Gerais, no qual objetivo é compreender por as práticas informacionais das apenadas, em particular suas estratégias para buscar, acessar, se apropriar e partilhar a informação. A pesquisa apresenta caráter exploratório e natureza qualitativa. As técnicas de coleta de dados incluem observação participativa e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Para análise dos dados foram criadas categorias através da técnica de codificação com modelo misto (com categorias a priori derivadas de modelos teóricos e categorias a posteriori inferidas a partir dos dados coletados nos relatos das presas, através de indução e análise de conteúdo).  Os resultados apontam que as apenadas se preocupam em obter informações sobre suas penas e acerca da saúde dos filhos, assim como procuram saber notícias dos companheiros, os quais na maioria das vezes estão presos. No que tange à leitura, muitas relataram que gostariam de ter acesso a leituras que remetessem ao universo prisional, sobretudo questões de direito.@pt
