                                            [0] => The article describes a preliminary study about the possibilities of representation of the Brazilian Thesaurus of Information Science in the SKOS format, presenting sections of the representation of the category "Information and Communication Technologies - TICs", and performs a literature review about the Simple Knowledge Organization System - SKOS, a data model for the formal representation of the basic structure and content of Knowledge Organization Systems in digital environments. The research is characterized as theoretical and exploratory, with a descriptive and objective aim to contribute to a better understanding of the SKOS model, describing its main characteristics, potentialities and limitations identified in the current study. From the theoretical survey and computational implementations carried out it was verified that the representation in the SKOS format of the Brazilian Thesaurus of Information Science can be performed in a satisfactory way, enabling the terms of the thesaurus to be processed by machines and driving the development of Instruments of representation in the field of Information Science that are aligned with the new research trends involving Linked Data; Data Science; Expanded Publication and Semantic Web. It was observed that the SKOS model contributes to a greater visibility of the Information Science area in the contemporary scenario, based on the new potential offered, favoring the elaboration of representation systems that can be used in different contexts of use, going beyond the conventional scenario of libraries and traditional information units.
                                            [1] => O artigo e descreve um estudo preliminar sobre as possibilidades de representação do Tesauro Brasileiro de Ciência da Informação no formato SKOS, apresentando trechos da representação da categoria “Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação – TICs”, e realiza uma revisão de literatura acerca do Simple Knowledge Organization System – SKOS, um modelo de dados para a representação formal da estrutura básica e conteúdo de Sistemas de Organização do Conhecimento em ambientes digitais. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como teórica e exploratória, com finalidade descritiva e objetiva contribuir para um melhor entendimento do modelo SKOS, descrevendo suas principais características, potencialidades e limitações identificadas no estudo em andamento. A partir do levantamento teórico e implementações computacionais realizadas constatou-se que a representação no formato SKOS do Tesauro Brasileiro de Ciência da Informação é passível de ser realizada de forma satisfatória, possibilitando que os termos do tesauro possam ser processados por máquinas e impulsionando o desenvolvimento instrumentos de representação no campo da Ciência da Informação que estejam alinhados com às novas tendências de pesquisa envolvendo Linked Data; Data Science; Publicação Ampliada e Web Semântica. Observou-se que o modelo SKOS contribui para uma maior visibilidade da área de Ciência da Informação no cenário contemporâneo, a partir das novas potencialidades oferecidas, favorecendo a elaboração de sistemas de representação que possam ser utilizados em diferentes contextos de uso, indo além do cenário convencional das bibliotecas e unidades de informação tradicionais.
