                    [0] => Using a theoretical-conceptual approach, this study aims to discuss the concept of mediation under different perspectives, in order to point out the existence of a mediational epistemic in Information Science (IS). It is assumed that mediation contributes directly to a reorientation of the research agenda of the field, by allowing the composition of theoretical bases by which one can approach not only the material and technical conditions that per pass the nature of the information, but also, Its social character. Thus, taking as its axis the assumption mentioned above, we discuss the concept of mediation and the way Information Science has defined the term, where aspects of the area that focus on the expressions mediation of information and cultural mediation are presented. Their insertion in the Social Sciences. In this context, the research in focus visited the Directory of Groups of Research of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), in order to identify the research groups in which the word mediation appears directly in their appointments. The existence of a significant variety of groups and lines of research aimed at the study of mediation reveals a growing insertion of the theme in the field, leading to the observation that, through the research conducted around it, of paradigm through which are added researchers interested in the subject, increasing the focus and complexity of the theoretical-conceptual debate in the area.@en
                    [1] => Valendo-se de uma abordagem teórico-conceitual, este estudo tem como objetivo discutir o conceito de mediação sob diferentes olhares, de modo a apontar a existência de uma epistéme mediacional na Ciência da Informação (CI). Parte-se do pressuposto de que a mediação colabora diretamente para uma reorientação da agenda de pesquisa do campo, ao possibilitar a composição de bases teóricas pelas quais se pode abordar não só as condições materiais e técnicas que perpassam a natureza da informação, mas, também, o seu caráter social. Assim, tendo como eixo o pressuposto apontado acima, discute-se o conceito de mediação e o modo como a Ciência da Informação tem definido o termo, onde são apresentados aspectos da área que o enfocam a partir das expressões mediação da informação e mediação cultural e a sua inserção nas Ciências Sociais. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa em foco visitou o Diretório de Grupos de Pesquisa, do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), com o intuito de identificar os grupos de pesquisa nos quais a palavra mediação consta diretamente em suas nomeações. A existência de uma significativa variedade de grupos e linhas de pesquisa voltados ao estudo da mediação revela uma inserção cada vez maior da temática no campo, levando a observar, ainda, que, através das pesquisas realizadas em torno dela, está a se constituir uma espécie de paradigma por meio do qual agregam-se pesquisadores interessados no tema, ampliando o foco e a complexidade do debate teórico-conceitual na área.@pt
