                                            [0] => The archival practice has been in development a long time ago. In many cases, however, such a practice has been only following a historical bias, as opposed to a management bias. International projects have proved that the archival studies have much more to offer in addition to the activity of historical heritage preservation. Public and private institutions may take advantage of the techniques developed within archival studies, mainly in the scope of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) projects. The present seeks to make evident such benefits in the scope of a Research & Development project. This project has been conducted through a partnership between a university and a large corporation acting in production and distribution of energy. In order to reach our goals, we describe archival instruments, the connection to technological tools, and the practical applications of all of these things in a corporate environment. Our preliminary findings point to the need for establishing new theoretical backgrounds, as well as applying them in real situations in seeking empirical results. 
                                            [1] => A teoria e a prática arquivísticas vêm se desenvolvendo já há bastante tempo, em muitos casos, voltadas para questões históricas. Projetos internacionais tem demonstrado que a arquivística tem mais a oferecer além da preservação do patrimônio histórico. As instituições públicas e privadas têm muito a se beneficiar das técnicas a cargo do arquivista, principalmente no âmbito de projetos de gestão de conteúdo organizacional – Enterprise Content Management (ECM). O presente artigo busca atestar tais benefícios no contexto de um projeto de Pesquisa & Desenvolvimento em instituição de economia mista do ramo de energia. Para tal, o artigo descreve importantes instrumentos da arquivística, a relação com ferramentas tecnológicas, e a aplicação prática em ambiente organizacional. Os resultados preliminares da pesquisa indicam a necessidade de se estabelecer novos marcos teóricos, bem como aplicá-los a situações reais na busca por resultados empíricos.
