                                            [0] => Studies on information and memory are based on historical data and on the meanings of a common foundation. The contribution of information to the history of memory is to amplify the field of Information Science. Here, the proposal is to extend the frontiers of Information Science aims to develop research and contribute to the ownership of information, beginning with a manuscript of the XVIII century which reflected Brazilian society. The proposal is to explain the meaning and function to the Information Science in the society.
                                            [1] => Os  estudos  sobre  informação  e  memória  têm  nos  dados  históricos  e  nos  significados  um  alicerce comum. Para a história da memória a contribuição da informação abre espaço para se  perceber  o  campo  teórico  e  as  práticas  da  ciência  da  informação.  O  objetivo  desta  comunicação é ampliar as fronteiras da Ciência da Informação, privilegiando a abordagem histórica e epistemológica, verificando qual o sentido estratégico de informações contidas em um manuscrito do século XVIII, que repercutiu amplamente na sociedade colonial brasileira. A  proposta  é  explicativa,  dando  sentido  e  função  à  dinâmica  da  Ciência  da  Informação  na  sociedade.
