                    [0] => The success or failure of an organization, whether public or private, is directly related to the effectiveness of its decision-making process. In most cases, this process is based primarily on information that the decision maker receives from multiple sources and should then carefully evaluate it in order to act cautiously and efficiently. The information is thus a vital resource and vital to the success of the decision-making process. However, the amount of information available at our fingertips increases in geometric proportion every second, making the search and selection even more difficult. Who has the greatest volume of information, although relevant, does not guarantee a correct decision because the decision ultimately depends on the decision maker, which has behavioral characteristics (cognition, intuition) which will greatly influence the outcome of the decision. This article provides insight bout the process in which information is gathered, examined and ultimately used to make a decision that will benefit the company as a whole.@en
                    [1] => O sucesso ou fracasso de uma organização quer seja de caráter público ou privado, está diretamente relacionado com a eficácia de seu processo de tomada de decisão. Esse processo decisório, na grande maioria das vezes em ambientes muito turbulentos, baseia-se essencialmente em informações que o decisor deve selecionar para suas ações efetivas junto à organização. A informação se constitui assim em recurso vital e imprescindível como subsídio ao processo de tomada de decisão. No entanto, o volume de informações, hoje, no mundo, cresce numa progressão geométrica a cada segundo, dificultando ainda mais sua busca e seleção. Quem tem o maior volume de informações, ainda que relevantes, não garante decisão correta, pois em última instância a decisão depende do decisor, que tem características comportamentais (aspectos cognitivos, intuição) que irão influenciar bastante na forma de decisão. Este artigo apresenta considerações acerca do processo decisório e como a matéria-prima informação está presente no contexto da decisão.@pt
