                                            [0] => Confronted by the growing process of information production, the
systems of information are faced with the challenge of creating instruments for the organisation and recuperation of information suitable for the differentiated informational needs of their users. The objective of this text is to identify, characterise and give theoretical precision to those premises utilised in the construction of languages of indexing, together with the theories of language study treated by semiotics and semiology. The process of use of the languages of
indexing was also analysed, by the indexers. Finally, the text seeks to characterise the potentiality of the studies of semiotics and semiology for the construction and use of indexing languages.
                                            [1] => Diante do crescente processo de produção de informação os sistemas
de informação enfrentam o desafio de criar instrumentos de organização e recuperação da informação adequados as diferenciadas necessidades informacionais de seus usuários. Neste trabalho
procurou-se identificar, caracterizar e precisar teoricamente os pressupostos utilizados na construção das linguagens de indexação,juntamente com as teorias de estudo da linguagem abordadas pela semiótica e semiologia. Posteriormente, foi analisado o processo de utilização das linguagens de indexação, pelos indexadores.Finalmente, procurou-se caracterizar as potencialidades dos estudos da semiótica e da semiologia para a construção e utilização de linguagens de indexação.
