                                            [0] => The general objective of this study is to map the scientific production on “memory” and “forgetfulness” in the Brazilian literature on Information Science. Its specific objectives aim to find the titles of these studies, assess their main publication channels and sources, investigate their origin, list the main authors on those themes, and specify the most productive institutions and regions on the subject. Regarding our methodological procedures, this is a descriptive, quantitative, and basic study, using as a parameter the Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (Reference Database of Articles on Information Science Periodicals). Thus, we obtained an overview of the scientific production on information science related to the integration of the themes “memory” and “forgetfulness” from the following categorization: production titles, publication channels and sources, origin, authors, and most productive regions and institutions. Thus, we found that the interconnected approach of “memory” and “forgetfulness” within information science has overcome its discovery phase and entered na exploratory one, thus progressively decentralizing production from the Rio-São Paulo axis by intra- and inter-institutional co-authorship networks, especially from researchers from institutions in the Brazilian South and Northeast. These themes are quantitatively expanding publications to institutionalize “forgetfulness” as another face of “memory” subarea coin within discussions in information science.
                                            [1] => Este artigo tem como objetivo geral mapear a produção científica sobre os temas “Memória” e “Esquecimento” na literatura da Ciência da Informação no Brasil. Tem-se como objetivos específicos: identificar os títulos das produções, verificar os principais canais e fontes de publicação, averiguar a origem das produções, identificar os principais autores que publicam sobre as temáticas em questão, especificar as instituições e regiões mais produtivas sobre o tema. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos adotados, o estudo caracteriza-se como descritivo de abordagem quantitativa e natureza básica, tendo-se como parâmetro a Base de Dados Referencial de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação. Como resultado obteve-se um panorama geral sobre a produção científica na área da CI relacionada à integração dos temas “Memória” e “Esquecimento” a partir da seguinte categorização: títulos das produções, canais e fontes de publicação, origem das produções, autores, instituições e regiões mais produtivas. Assim, conclui-se que a abordagem dos temas “Memória e “Esquecimento” de forma interconectada no âmbito da Ciência da Informação superou a fase da descoberta e adentrou a exploratória, de modo que progressivamente ocorre uma descentralização da produção do eixo Rio-São Paulo, impulsionada pela existência de redes de coautoria intra e interinstitucionais, com destaque para a ação de pesquisadores de instituições das regiões Sul e Nordeste. As temáticas estão em uma fase de expansão quantitativa de publicações rumo à institucionalização do tema “Esquecimento” como face da mesma moeda da Subárea “Memória” no âmbito das discussões em Ciência da Informação.
