                                            [0] => O Serviço de Referência Virtual (SRV) diz respeito às formas de prestação de serviço de referência e informação por meioda utilização de tecnologia da informação, com o intuito de oferecer uma série de benefícios aos seus usuários. Como ainda se trata de uma tecnologia recente, existem muitos recursos que podem ser explorados em benefício de todos os envolvidos, como as bibliotecas universitárias e usuários deste serviço. Para que estes benefícios possam ser usufruídos, este estudo se propõe a aplicar a metodologia de análise estratégica SWOT em um site de uma biblioteca universitária, com a intenção de identificar os principais pontos fortes, pontos fracos, ameaças e oportunidades do serviço de referência virtual. Foi possível verificar que o SRV é uma oportunidade para aumentar a satisfação do usuário e, também, a interação das bibliotecas universitárias com seus usuários.
                                            [1] => The virtual reference service (SRV) concerns forms of provision of reference and information service through the use of information technology in order to offer a number of benefits to its users. It is still a new technology, there are many resources that can be exploited for the benefit of all involved, as university libraries and users of this service. For these benefits can be enjoyed, this study aims to apply the Strategic SWOT analysis methodology on a website of a university library, with the intention to identify the main strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of virtual reference service. It was possible to verify that the SRV is an opportunity to increase user satisfaction and also the interaction of academic libraries with their users.
