                    [0] => Os repositórios institucionais são bases de dados que têm por objetivo armazenar a produção científica de uma instituição. Neste contexto, o autoarquivamento é o mecanismo de depósito em repositórios institucionais recomendado pelo movimento de acesso aberto à informação científica, seguindo as estratégias da Via Verde. O autoarquivamento é aquele realizado pelo próprio autor. A adoção do autoarquivamento por parte das instituições tem como objetivo garantir os depósitos nos repositórios institucionais, maximizando assim, a sua quantidade de documentos. Motivos que podem impedir o autoarquivamento: desconhecimento por parte dos autores sobre o movimento de acesso aberto; sobre as questões relacionadas aos direitos autorais; o processo de avaliação por pares; sobre o impacto do trabalho em acesso aberto, entre outros fatores. Com esta pesquisa pretende-se verificar a existência de políticas de autoarquivamento nos repositórios institucionais brasileiros e portugueses, bem como a identificação de materiais de apoio ao autor para a realização de tal atividade. Para o estudo foram considerados os repositórios brasileiros e portugueses registrados no Directory of Open Access Repositories – OpenDoar.@pt
                    [1] => Institutional repositories are databases that aim to store the scientific output of an institution. In this context, self-archiving is the mechanism of deposit in institutional repositories recommended by the open access movement to scientific information, by following the strategies of Green Road. Self-archiving is held by the author. The adoption of self-archiving by institutions aims to guarantee deposits in institutional repositories, so that the quantity of their documents is maximized. Reasons that may prevent self-archiving: ignorance on the part of the authors about the open access movement, on issues related to copyright, the process of peer review, the impact of the work in open access, among other factors. This research intends to verify the existence of self-archiving policies in Brazilian and Portuguese institutional repositories, as well as the identification of materials to support the author to carry out such activity. For the study there were considered the Brazilian and Portuguese repositories registered in the Directory of Open Access Repositories - OpenDOAR.@en
