                    [0] => Os repositórios institucionais têm exercido importante papel na disseminação da produção científica das instituições de ensino e pesquisa ampliando a visibilidade tanto do autor quanto da instituição. Na atualidade, os avanços tecnológicos tanto possibilitaram a inserção das editoras universitárias no uso dos processos editoriais digitais quanto o aumento de visibilidade, acessibilidade, uso e impacto dos livros. As editoras universitárias têm um papel fundamental de promover a difusão da produção científica e caracterizam-se por abranger todas as áreas do conhecimento, publicando textos de qualidade, avaliados por pares e de autoria de pesquisadores com filiações institucionais diversas. O presente estudo tem por finalidade verificar a adesão de editoras ao movimento de acesso aberto à informação científica através da presença de títulos publicados em acervos dos RI. Busca-se, também, conhecer a política das editoras e das instituições voltadas ao depósito de livros e capítulos nesses repositórios. Para tanto foram selecionados para compor a amostra 31 repositórios de universidades e instituições de pesquisa tendo como critério a disponibilização em suas coleções de livros e capítulos de livros. O repositório da Universidade Federal da Bahia destaca-se por disponibilizar o maior número de livros e capítulos 307 itens seguido da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária com 120. Conclui-se que ainda é tímida a participação da produção das editoras universitárias nos acervos dos RI e, na maioria das instituições, não há uma política formal de disponibilização de conteúdos em acesso aberto.@pt
                    [1] => Institutional repositories have played an important role in disseminating scientific output of educational institutions and research expanding the visibility of both the author and the institution. Nowadays, technological advances have enabled both the insertion of university publishers in the use of digital editing processes and the increased visibility, accessibility, usage and impact of books. University publishers have a key role to promote the diffusion of scientific production and are characterized by covering all areas of knowledge, publishing quality texts, peer-reviewed and written by researchers with different institutional affiliations. The present study aims to verify the compliance of publishers to the open access movement to scientific information through the presence of titles published in collections of IR. The objective is also to know the policy of publishers and institutions focused on deposit of books and chapters in these repositories. To do so, it has been selected 31 repositories from  universities and research institutions as the sample, having as criteria the availability in their collections of books and book chapters. The repository of the Federal University of Bahia (Universidade Federal da Bahia) stands out by providing the largest number of books and chapters - 307 items - followed by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária) with 120. It is concluded that the participation of the production of university presses is still timid in the collections of IR, and in most institutions, there is no formal policy on the provision of open access content.@en
