                                    [description] => Pesquisa piloto realizada no município de Belterra - cidade  localizada no centro-oeste do Estado do Pará – que teve como objetivo  avaliar o impacto da internet e do celular nesse município. De caráter  quanti-qualitativo, buscou identificar, por meio de entrevistas e da  aplicação de questionários, marcadores que indicassem possíveis  influências e orientassem futuras investigações sobre o tema. Foram  identificados três marcadores: ensino-aprendizagem; trabalho e prestação  de serviços; e hábitos e relacionamentos. Parece prudente considerar  que a tecnologia não é o feroz inimigo que espreita uma população  indefesa. Para os propósitos desta pesquisa, ela funcionou como um  instrumento valioso que nos obrigou a perceber que a tecnologia digital  aproxima, distancia, especializa ou banaliza, tudo depende do uso que  dela é feito.Palavras-chaveBelterra. Internet.The mobile phone is the bycicleAbstractThe objective of this article is to assess the impact of internet and mobile phone on Belterra, a Center-west town in Pará State. A quantitative and qualitative survey sought to identify, by interviews and questionnaires, markers which might have influence on possible and future research about this theme. Three markers were identified: teaching and learning; work and service provision; and habits and relationships. Technology does not seem to be the fierce enemy stinging the defenseless population. Digital technology is a valuable instrument for drawing together or away, making it sublime or trite, depending on the purpose for which it is used.KeywordsBelterra. Digital inclusion. Internet.
