Nanotechnologies as a solution for poverty?

Abstract

Nanotechnology is thought of as the next technological revolution. The apologists of nanotechnology consider it as a solution for the main problems of the developing countries. Arguments are presented concerning this optimistic view that does not take into consideration the social context in which science and technology are developed.
