                                            [0] => This article seeks to articulate cultural heritage management and preservation within the scope of public universities, considering that these have suffered a significant decrease in their cultural heritage, sometimes caused by fire, sometimes due to lack of resources, among many other factors. However, some of these events have not received proper attention from society. This is probably due to the mistaken conception of the university, which makes it impossible to perceive it from the perspective of culture as well. Methodologically, research of bibliographic and exploratory character was adopted in order to identify categories necessary for the construction of a possible inventory instrument. In this regard, instruments of descriptive representation already established in the scope of Archival Science, Librarianship and Cultural Heritage were used, whether material or immaterial. Based on the analysis of the instruments from different areas of documentation, it was found that, for the most part, they indicate descriptive fields that, together, can contribute to the formalization of the inventory pattern of cultural heritage, especially within universities, enabling the elaboration of a proposal for data and indications of a possible roadmap for the composition of an inventory instrument that could be useful in the scope of universities.
                                            [1] => O artigo em pauta busca articular gestão de patrimônios culturais e preservação no âmbito das universidades públicas, considerando que estas vêm sofrendo uma significativa baixa em seus patrimônios culturais, ora causados por incêndio, ora por falta de recursos, entre tantos outros fatores. Todavia, alguns desses acontecimentos não têm recebido por parte da sociedade a atenção devida. Isso se dá, provavelmente, em razão da concepção equivocada que se tem de universidade, o que impossibilita percebê-la sob a ótica também da cultura. Metodologicamente, adotou-se a investigação de caráter bibliográfico e exploratório, com vistas a identificar categorias necessárias à construção de um possível instrumento de inventariação. Nesse aspecto, recorreu-se a instrumentos de representação descritiva já consagrados no âmbito da Arquivologia, Biblioteconomia e do Patrimônio Cultural quer seja material ou imaterial. A partir da análise dos instrumentos de diversas áreas da documentação, verificou-se que, em sua maioria, eles indicam campos descritivos que, juntos, podem contribuir na formalização de padrão de inventariação do patrimônio cultural, sobretudo no âmbito das universidades, possibilitando a elaboração de uma proposta de dados e indicativos de um possível roteiro para composição de um instrumento inventarial que possa ser útil no âmbito das universidades.
