                    [0] => It presents an analysis of the indexing of the digital collection of images (sample group) of the Brasiliana Guita and José Mindlin Library (BBM), which has 578 images indexed through the Controlled Vocabulary of USP. The general objective is to study some of the theories of image indexing and compare them with the practice carried out in the representation of images. The work is carried out through bibliographical, descriptive and exploratory research, since it aims to observe the way of indexing the aforementioned collection, relating it to the theory studied by some authors in the field of Information Science. The results indicate that indexing promotes adequate representation and images, as the collection is small and, even though the USP Controlled Vocabulary does not have specific terms in the field of imagery indexing, there are other fields that manage to fill these gaps. It is considered that information and descriptive fields could be added to the vast majority of documents, adding specific terms about the imagery works and that the Brasiliana Guita e José Mindlin Library could use some specialized documentary language for the collection, for greater specification of the indexing terms of the images.@en
                    [1] => Apresenta análise da indexação do acervo digital de imagens (grupo amostral) da Biblioteca Brasiliana Guita e José Mindlin (BBM), possuidora de 578 imagens indexadas através do Vocabulário Controlado da USP. O objetivo geral é estudar algumas das teorias de indexação imagética e compará-las com a prática realizada na representação das imagens. O trabalho é realizado através de pesquisa bibliográfica, descritiva e exploratória, já que visa observar o modo de indexação do referido acervo relacionando-o com a teoria estudada por alguns autores da área da Ciência da Informação. Os resultados indicam que a indexação promove adequada representação e de imagens, pois o acervo é pequeno e, mesmo que o Vocabulário Controlado da USP não disponha de termos específicos no campo de indexação imagética, existem outros campos que conseguem suprir essas lacunas. Considera-se que poderiam ser acrescentadas informações e campos descritivos à grande maioria dos documentos, adicionando termos específicos sobre as obras imagéticas e que a Biblioteca Brasiliana Guita e José Mindlin poderia utilizar alguma linguagem documentária especializada para o acervo, para maior especificação dos termos indexadores das imagens. Além disso, sugere-se a inclusão de resumos documentários no campo “descrição” das imagens, favorecendo a inclusão digital e auxiliando os usuários na análise e compreensão do conteúdo das mesmas.@pt
