                                            [0] => It proposes a brief discussion regarding information access through digital reading, considering concepts barely explored in Information Science. Relying on concepts such as literary literacy and cyberculture, this research has as main objective: to present digital reading as a mean to access information; And as specific objectives, to discuss issues such as library distribution in Brazil; to put in evidence the attitudes of public and private initiatives to supply the informational demand and to present some foreigners and brazilian digital reading platforms, once that it is clear the deficiency of public libraries brazilian system. Based on this bibliographic and exploratory research, the need to deepen research on this theme within Information Science becomes undeniable, considering the steady growth of cyberspace and the lack of public policies that promote information access not only through digital platforms, but also through improvements in brazilian libraries. At the end of the article, it was possible to verify the actions of the public and private initiative to make digital reading more accessible, inside and outside Brazil.
                                            [1] => Propõe uma breve discussão sobre o acesso à informação através da leitura digital, levando em consideração conceitos pouco explorados na Ciência da Informação. Debruçando-se sobre conceitos como letramento literário e cibercultura, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral: apresentar a leitura digital como meio de acesso à informação; E como objetivos específicos: discutir questões como a existência e distribuição de bibliotecas no Brasil; evidenciar as atitudes da iniciativa pública e privada para suprir a demanda informacional; e apresentar algumas plataformas de leitura digital brasileiras e estrangeiras, uma vez que fica evidente a deficiência do sistema brasileiro de bibliotecas públicas. Com base nesta pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico e exploratório, torna-se incontestável a necessidade de aprofundar as pesquisas neste tema dentro da Ciência da Informação, tendo em vista o crescimento constante do ciberespaço e a falta de políticas públicas que promovam o acesso à informação não apenas através de plataformas digitais, mas também de melhorias nas bibliotecas brasileiras. Ao final do artigo, foi possível constatar as ações da iniciativa pública e privada para tornar a leitura digital mais acessível, dentro e fora do Brasil.
