 Abstract
It describes the virtual library carryng out process of the Instituto Cepa/SC. The rapid evolution of the tools and means of the digital information sugests the implementation of libraries by means of the electronic media. This process should consider the avaliable equipment and programs, and the
conventional library asset. It requires professional assistence in information tecnology and organization.
